Last night, Brush 15-1 was dispatched to the Plaskett Fire in Monterey County as part of Strike Team 4202F.

It’s been a busy day for the WMR firefighters!

BC15-2, E15-1, and E15-2 were first dispatched to a vehicle accident at Highway 88 and E. Fairchild Road involving two semi-trucks, with one overturned. Crews treated and evaluated two patients who sustained minor injuries.

While clearing the scene, E15-2 was dispatched to a mutual aid request with Linden-Peters Fire District for another vehicle accident. E15-2 was tasked with establishing and managing the landing zone for the incoming helicopter.

Another busy day of serving our community and working alongside our neighboring agencies!

Deployment Update!

E15-3 and Strike Team XSJ4179C are officially heading home today after a successful 14-day deployment supporting the Gann and Timber Fires.

We’re incredibly proud of our crew and all the agencies who worked together throughout the deployment. Great teamwork by Linden-Peters Fire District, Manteca Fire, Thornton Fire District, Farmington Fire District, and South County Fire!

Safe travels home, and we look forward to welcoming our crew back! 👏🏼🔥

Over the past two days, our C-Shift firefighters dedicated time to sharpening their skills through hands-on training, focusing on flowing multiple hoselines and rope rescue operations, including constructing a ladder gin. Despite staying busy responding to emergency calls, both engine companies made training a priority to ensure they’re always prepared for the next challenge.

We take pride in serving our community with professionalism, dedication, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Late Monday night, Engine 15-3 was dispatched to the Gann Fire as part of Strike Team XSJ4179. Our crew remains assigned to the incident, assisting with wildfire suppression and structure protection efforts alongside firefighters from across the state.

While E15-3 is committed to the Gann Fire, our district remains fully staffed and ready to respond to emergencies within our community.

Today at 1607, E15-2, OES4122, and BC15-3 responded to a large vegetation fire near McAllen Rd. and Holman Rd. Upon arrival, E15-2 reported approximately 2 acres of vegetation burning with a slow rate of spread.

E15-2 quickly initiated a mobile attack on the left flank while OES4122 engaged the right flank. Through a coordinated attack, crews contained and knocked down the fire within five minutes, preventing further spread. Units remained on scene for approximately 30 minutes completing mop-up operations and ensuring the fire was fully extinguished.

A special thank you to Linden-Peters Fire District for providing district coverage while our crews were committed to the incident.
