TORNADO AREA TOMORROW:

Scattered storms, including a few supercells will form ahead of a cold front tomorrow. The greatest potential for a tornado will be from northeast into northern - including and , where shear and instability, plus boundary orientation appear most favorable for a longer discrete storm mode, before they all eventually line out, with damaging winds becoming the main mode thereafter.

⚠️ SEVERE STORMS through Tuesday night across the state. The greatest risk will be on this afternoon & tonight including the potential for large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes.

‼️ The greatest threat will be over parts of north central and northwest Missouri where there is the potential for strong tornadoes.

A moderate (Level 4 out of 5) risk exists for parts of the forecast area, with an enhanced (Level 3) and slight (Level 2) risk extending southeastward. Greater confidence exists with storms developing into a line of storms later this evening/overnight. However, a conditional threat exists for the development of discrete storms this afternoon, dependent on how the atmosphere recovers from morning storms. Stay up to date with the forecast, and have multiple ways to receive warnings!
