Hope of Mooresville (HOMe) provides safe, temporary shelter and support services for homeless women and children in Mooresville. All guests partner with HOMe and participate in our structured program which includes- case management, counseling, financial planning, job training/placement, medical assistance, and affordable housing placement. Our mission: An integrative approach to passionately address the needs of impoverished individuals and families by providing safe shelter through faith, structured opportunity and empowerment to become productive members of the community.

“If you don't like the road you're walking, start paving another one.” — Dolly Parton

Today, we’re remembering Dolly Parton with both sadness and gratitude.

We are saddened by her passing, but deeply inspired by the example she leaves behind. Dolly showed us that success means even more when you use it to lift others up. Her generosity, compassion, and commitment to children, families, education, and community have touched countless lives.

Her words resonate deeply with us at Hope of Mooresville because we see women every day who are paving a new road for themselves and their children.

A new job. A driver's license. A new apartment. A chance to start again.

Sometimes, changing your road takes courage. Sometimes it takes someone walking beside you, helping clear the obstacles and reminding you that a different future is possible.

That is the example Dolly leaves with us: use what you have to help someone else find their way forward.

We hope to carry that example with us at Hope of Mooresville, helping women and children find a new path, one step at a time.

🤧 Back to school means back to sharing… everything.

The backpacks are packed, the school year is underway, and unfortunately, the germs are making their way around too! 🦠

We’re working to keep our Hope of Mooresville families stocked with a few essential children’s over-the-counter medications to help when sniffles, coughs, fevers, and other back-to-school bugs strike.

🏡 A New Chapter Begins

After leaving Hope of Mooresville, one of our older guests recently reached an incredible milestone: she found her own apartment! 💙

She put the skills and confidence she gained at HOMe into action, navigating applications, paperwork, budgeting, and all the steps needed to secure her own place.

And thanks to our nonprofit partner, Christian Mission , she was also able to receive a washer and dryer for her new home! 🧺💙

She didn't just leave HOMe with a permanent place to live, she left with the tools to build a life of independence, and a community cheering her on.

We couldn't be more proud of her as she begins this new chapter. This is what moving from homelessness to housed looks like. 🏡✨
