Recently, we celebrated a remarkable milestone as a mother and her 2-year-old daughter graduated from the HOMe program and moved into permanent housing.

During her stay, she secured employment, obtained childcare vouchers, connected with affordable housing through a new community partnership, and saved enough to pay her own security deposit and first month's rent.

Today, she and her daughter are settling into a place they can finally call home.

But the story doesn't end there.

The very next day, another mother and her three children moved into HOMe to begin their own journey toward stability and independence.

That's the power of your support. Every family that finds permanent housing creates space for another family in crisis to find safety, hope, and a path forward.

🏊‍♀️ Help Us Make Summer Special for the Children at HOMe! ☀️

For many children experiencing homelessness, summer can feel very different from the carefree memories most of us cherish. A day at the pool offers more than just fun, it provides a chance to laugh, play, build friendships, and simply be kids.

We're looking for a donation of $200 so we can provide poll passes for the children staying at Hope of Mooresville this summer. Your generosity can create moments of joy, normalcy, and lasting memories for children who have faced significant challenges.

HOMe had a special delivery today from our friends at Crumb & Culture | Mooresville, NC Sourdough and Controlled Chaos Coffee . They made a giant box that was then filled with supplies by the Mooresville community over the weekend. Thank you for stepping up and lighting the way for the families we serve!! (The fresh bread and cookies were a big hit too) 💙🍪🍞✨

🎂🎉 Another Month, Another Birthday Celebration at HOMe! 🎉🎂

Every child deserves to feel special on their birthday. This month, we celebrated another one of our youngest guests with cake, smiles, and a few special surprises.

For families experiencing homelessness, birthdays can look very different. That's why we love creating moments of joy and normalcy that remind children they are seen, celebrated, and loved.

Because of our caring community partners, we're able to make these memories happen one birthday at a time. 🎈✨

One of the incredible moms at HOMe just finished another semester on her journey to becoming a Speech Pathology Assistant! ✨

Balancing school, work, parenting, and the challenges of rebuilding stability is no small task, but she continues to show determination, resilience, and hope every single day.

We are so proud of all she’s accomplishing and can’t wait to see the impact she’ll make in the lives of others through her future career. 💛

Every step forward matters and she is a beautiful reminder that brighter futures are possible.

Our Director, Dr. Amy DeCaron and Program Coordinator, Lynn Kurfees AAS, are in Raleigh this week attending the Bringing It Home -Ending Homelessness in NC Conference, hosted by the North Carolina Housing Coalition

This opportunity allows us to connect with housing leaders from across the state, learn new strategies, and continue finding ways to better support families experiencing homelessness in our community.

Every conversation, partnership, and idea helps us continue to Light the Way HOMe for the families we serve. ✨

🎉 Incredible News!! 🎉

Last night, by a unanimous vote, the Mooresville Planning Board approved Hope of Mooresville to move forward with our Phase 2 Project!

So what is Phase 2?
Phase 2 is a supportive housing development that will allow us to expand our mission and provide even more housing opportunities for families in need right here in our community. 🏡✨

This is a huge step forward, and we are incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement, and belief in our mission. We are well on our way to making this vision a reality.
