Brown Township Trustee's Office The Brown Township Trustee provides emergency assistance for individuals and families who are in need and reside within Brown Township, Morgan County, Indiana

The Brown Township Trustee provided emergency assistance for individuals who meet eligibility requirements. Individuals 18 years of age and older may apply for assistance. Clients are seen Monday through Friday 8 am to 3 pm By Appointment Only. All applicants applying for township assistance will be processed according to written uniform standards, without regard to applicant's age, sex, religious

creed, national origin, political belief, or physical or mental handicap. To determine eligibility, the Trustee will consider resources and assets of the household such as cash on hand, checking and savings accounts, certificates of deposit, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, recreational vehicles, etc. The township may require households requesting township assistance to allow an inspection of their living quarters. The inspector will determine the unit's compliance with the minimum standards of health, safety, decency, and will establish the housing unit's fair market rental value. Determination will be made with 72 hours of the initial application. Holidays and weekends are excluded. Brown Township will accommodate persons who are unable to physically come into the township office to apply for township assistance. Arrangements for home visits may be made by calling the office and making an appointment. Services Provided:

Air Force Captain Seth R Koval of Mooresville was killed in western Iraq on Thursday, March 12, 2026 while on a mission supporting Operation Epic Fury. The KC-135 aircraft crashed killing Captain Koval and 5 other Air Force Airmen.
Captain Koval is survived by his wife, Heather and a son.
The flags at Brown Twp Trustee’s Office and Fire Station will be at half-mast for 7 days in honor of Captain Koval. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

In accordance with IC 5-14-1.5-2.9, which took effect on July 1, 2025, we have established our own YouTube channel where you can find a livestream of township board meetings.

There have been no township board meetings between July 1 and now. Our next scheduled meeting is on September 29, 2025 at 5pm. Livestreams will be archived for a minimum of 90 days in accordance with said statute.

Official government channel of the Brown Township Trustee's Office located in Morgan County Indiana. Channel is provided to allow online access for the viewing of public meetings per Indiana Code.
