Today, Moorestown Police Officers along with officers from several other departments participated in the 2026 NJ Law Enforcement Torch Run. During the Torch Run law enforcement members and Special Olympics athletes carry the “Flame of Hope” used during the Special Olympics Opening Ceremonies. Moorestown has been seeing an uptick in vehicle thefts and vehicle burglaries. Patrols have been on-going during the overnight hours in all residential areas and include the use of unmarked vehicles. It is important to note that the large majority of break-ins and thefts are due to unlocked cars. The most effective fight against these crimes is to always make sure your cars are locked before you go to bed and never leave keys, wallets, or purses inside. Your vigilance and cooperation are crucial in preventing these crimes.

The is a nightly reminder to residents to remove valuables from their vehicles, lock their vehicle doors, lock the doors to their residences, turn on exterior lights and activate all alarms and security systems.
