🚫🔥 BURN BAN IN EFFECT 🔥🚫

The Glades County Board of County Commissioners has implemented a countywide burn ban effective May 26, 2026, due to dry conditions and increased wildfire risk.

All outdoor burning is prohibited until further notice. This includes:
• Yard debris burning
• Campfires
• Bonfires
• Any unauthorized outdoor open burning

The burn ban is necessary to help protect the safety of our residents, firefighters, property, and natural resources.

We ask all residents and visitors to remain vigilant and avoid activities that could spark a fire.

Updates will be provided as conditions change.

Today, the Glades County Board of County Commissioners honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this day and honor those who gave everything for our freedom.

❗️All BOCC offices are closed today and will re-open tomorrow at 8:00 a.m.
