⭐ Happy Labor Day, D38! ⭐

Today is a chance to recognize the hard work that keeps our communities moving, including the people who show up every day to support our students and schools.

We hope our D38 community enjoys the long weekend. Reminder: All D38 schools and offices are closed today, Monday, Sept. 7.

Just a reminder that today, Friday, Sept. 4, there are no classes for all students.

The Lewis-Palmer Elementary School community came together over the weekend to create new spaces and learning opportunities for students.

The work involved some heavy lifting, a landscape crew, and resulted in three new outdoor learning classrooms!

🏈 D38 came together under the lights. 🏈

A double rainbow stretched across the sky as the high school football season got a new opening chapter Friday night, August 28, with Palmer Ridge Football taking the field at Weidner for the first annual Pikes Peak Kickoff Classic.

The Bears welcomed La Cueva from Albuquerque to Colorado Springs for an early-season test and a matchup that brought two football communities together.

After opening the season with a Week Zero win over Pueblo East, Palmer Ridge earned a 29-10 victory over La Cueva.

But Friday night was about more than the final score. It was the beginning of a new tradition, bringing high school football to one of the region’s premier venues and giving players, families, fans and our community a chance to experience the game in a whole new setting.

And for Palmer Ridge, there was plenty of D38 pride in the stands. Everyone came out to support the Bears and be part of a night that showcased the energy and connection that make this community special.

Thanks to everyone who came out and helped make this first-ever event such a great night for the D38 community!

The modulars are on the move!

The new facility for the D38 Homeschool Enrichment Academy is really taking shape this week as a crane is moving most of the pieces into place.

This brings us one big step closer to the HSEA moving into their new facility and we can't wait for students and staff to be able to utilize this new space.

Stay tuned for updates on this exciting project!

⚽️ A new season. A new chapter. A strong start.

Three games into the season, the Lewis-Palmer High School Rangers are already showing what happens when a team embraces change and believes in what it can become.

After opening the season with a tie against Liberty, the Rangers picked up wins over Ponderosa and Wheat Ridge, including the August 27 matchup against Wheat Ridge, captured in these photos.

For senior goalkeeper Owen Zentner, the transition to a new coaching staff has challenged the team to step up and find another level together.

“The adjustment we went through with the new coaching staff pushed us as a team to step up and show that even when people may have written us off because of last year, we didn’t write ourselves off. Now we have a real shot of going far this year.”

Three games in, the Rangers are 2-0-1 and showing plenty of promise as they settle into the new season. There’s a lot of soccer still to play, but this group has already shown it’s ready for the challenge. Good luck this season, Rangers!
