Westmoreland County Va Seniors & Law Enforcement Together - TRIAD / SALT Westmoreland County Va Seniors and Law Enforcement Together - SALT is a non-profit volunteer cooperation between senior citizens and law enforcement.

Triad is a non-profit partnership created by the Office of the Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Virginia consisting of local Sheriff and Police Chief, seniors, senior service providers, and businesses in Westmoreland County who work together to reduce criminal victimization of the elderly. Important to Triad is an advisory council which serves as a sounding board, information channel, and

catalyst for reducing crimes against the elderly. Triad / SALT is a partnership which responds to the unique needs of its Senior Citizen community by uniting law enforcement, senior citizens, senior caregivers, and local agencies responsible for the advocacy of a safe community for seniors, in a common bond of helpfulness and respect. Our primary goal is to enable seniors to become less vulnerable to crime, including fraud, scams, assault, etc.

• Register Your Cameras Today and Turn Your Home or Business Surveillance System into a Crime Fighting Tool
• Is your home or business equipped with an external surveillance system? If so, why not use it to help local law enforcement solve crimes in your neighborhood?
• HOW IT WORKS:
• -Register your camera with the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office.
• -If a crime occurs in your neighborhood, Detectives may contact you and ask that you check your recordings for specific information.
• -Your information is kept safe and secure; it is never made public.
• -You remain in complete control. The Sheriff’s Office will NEVER have unrestricted access to your cameras, and your participation is completely voluntary. You can opt out at any time.
• This service is restricted to cameras located within Westmoreland County
