Westmoreland DSS is experiencing technical issues 4/29/26 with Breezeline having maintenance in the area. If your unable to reach us please be patient as we are unable to answer at this time. Breezeline estimates 6:30PM for all issues to be fixed. We are still in the building and will gladly help you with your needs if you come in until 4:30PM. Thanks and have a great Wednesday.

Weather Update

Due to a severe weather alert, staffing at the Westmoreland County Department of Social Services office is limited today. We are unable to issue EBT CARDS today due to this situation.

Our Temporary office is located at 111 Polk Street, Montross, VA 22520. Located in the Treasurers building in the back of the County Office.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to continue serving our community safely.

🚨 Save the Date – National Night Out 2026! 🚨

Join us for National Night Out 2026 as we come together to strengthen community partnerships and promote neighborhood safety.

National Night Out is a great opportunity for community members to meet local law enforcement, fire/ems, and other first responders while enjoying a fun, family-friendly evening. The event will include community engagement, safety information, and activities for all ages.

There will be a planned EBT service outage from 11 p.m. on February 17 through 7 a.m. on February 18. During this time, EBT transactions will not be processed, and customers will not be able to access their benefits.

We expect services to resume immediately once the maintenance period ends.

Good Thursday Morning Westmoreland. Currently there is a outage for Verizon in the area that is affecting the calls coming in and out. We are open and can take walk-ins but may not be able to take your calls. Please feel free to stop by 8:30AM to 4:30PM if you need assistance.
