Join us June 27th, 2026 The Grove for this wonderful event! Our friends Kids' Pasta Project have been working hard training youth on serving and cooking for the gala! Pasta making has been in full swing for our homemade lasagnas. This weekend, we worked on learning how to make the brownies we will be serving for dessert!

Partners and Families Plus staff helped during a training for our upcoming By Kids, For Kids Gala yesterday! From Kids Pasta Project trainer Moni, and youth leader Sierra, kids learned to serve tables, make pasta from scratch, and about the organizations the Gala will benefit.

Nexus kids visited Rocking W farm this week! We got to see the milking barn, visit baby and mama cows, and have some house-made ice cream!

We took a trip to the Olathe park afterwards, and had a great time running around.

Partners plans monthly activities for all the kids in the program, including the next-in-line or "Nexus" kids! These youth are unmatched, but get group mentoring from staff at the monthly activities.

Big shout-out to for having partnerships at the farm for a tour! We learned lots of new things about goats and how Western Culture raises and cares for them, and uses their milk to make some seriously good cheese. We highly recommend a visit and farm tour to Western Culture, everyone especially enjoyed hanging out with the baby goats and their mamas.
This farm tour was our monthly partnership activity! Partners organizes monthly activities for our matches, and for the unmatched kids who are in the Nexus.

This week, six of the amazing kids who have been in the Partners program are graduating highschool!

We would like to take a moment to acknowledge this achievement for all of them, celebrate their success, and express just how proud we are that they have reached such a big milestone in their lives. With their graduation from highschool comes their graduation from the Partners Mentoring program, but we hope that all of them continue to find value in the time they spent with us, grow the relationships and connections they made in the program, and come back to visit soon!

Who knows, maybe in a little while, they'll be mentoring the next generation of Partners kids.

Congratulations to the graduating class of 2026, we hope you feel the support and pride of our team as you move on to the next chapter. 🎓✨🎊
