The bond between police officers and firefighters is no different than any other sibling rivalry. We fire shots across thier bow; they fire shots back across ours...,usually missing. But you get the point...
Just like siblings, some are better at taking the ribbing and just blow it off while some are ready to throw down at the drop of a hat; all in good fun.
BUT,... when the tones drop and the call comes out, no one knows who won the last round, who threw the last jab or who scored the most points. What they do know is that there are lives hanging in the balance and there's a job to be done. And, get the job done, they do!
We couldn't be more proud to serve along side the men and women of the Montpelier-Harrison TWP Vol. Fire Dept. when duty calls. Selflessly committing thier time, energies and talents to serve the City of Montpelier; not for fame or fanfare, but in the name of community spirit and service. Today we honor them on National Volunteer Firefighters Day. You make a difference!
