♟️ Checkmate in the MHS Library! Stop by to check out our new giant chess board, part of a growing initiative to bring more games and connection to MHS. This project is powered by the Restorative Practices Club and the MHS Guidance Department. They’re working hard to create spaces where students can relax, connect, and build community through play. A huge shoutout to student Jacob, who custom-built the chess table right here in Shop Class!

Reminder! We want YOU to serve as a Student Representative on the MRPS School Board! Letters of interest are due Friday, May 1st to Board Chair Mia Moore: [email protected]

The MRPS School Board is seeking two MHS students to serve as Student Representatives for the 2026-2027 school year. This is your chance to represent your peers, share student perspectives, and participate in local democracy. Attend two Board meetings per month (Wednesday evenings) and act as a liaison to the student body.

How to Apply: Email a 1–3 paragraph letter of interest with your name and grade to [email protected] by May 1, 2026. Applicants will be invited to address the Board on May 6, 2026, when final selections will be announced.
