As graduation season concludes, The Vermont Department of Labor wants to congratulate all graduates on this great achievement.🎓
For high school seniors, remember that there is no single path to success, and most of us change paths over the course of our careers and lives. Whether you're heading to college, starting a registered apprenticeship, entering the workforce, serving in your community, or taking a gap year to figure out what’s next, the most important thing you can do is stay curious, connected to something you find meaningful, and engaged with others.
To the college graduates, Vermont needs your talent, creativity, and determination in every corner of our economy and communities. There has never been a better time to start a career here. Vermont offers something increasingly rare: a chance to make a difference from day one, work closely with mentors, and see the impact of your efforts firsthand. With many experienced workers nearing retirement, opportunities for advancement and leadership will continue to expand across the state.
“Whatever path you choose, know that it has value. Every path can lead to meaningful opportunities, personal growth, and a bright future. We are proud of all Vermont's graduates and look forward to seeing the impact you'll make.” -Kendal Smith, Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Labor.
