🌅 BUILT FOR TODAY. PRESERVED FOR TOMORROW.

Take a look at the Iron Horse River Trail.

Freshly sealed. Freshly striped. And ready to keep serving our community for years to come.

When Montpelier invested in the Iron Horse, we didn’t just build a walking and biking trail. We created something special—a community treasure that we can share with our neighbors throughout Williams County and beyond.

And when you have something worth having, you take care of it.

That’s exactly what this week’s maintenance is about. Crack filling, sealing and fresh striping may not be the most glamorous part of building a trail, but it’s one of the most important. It’s how we protect the investment we’ve made and help ensure the Iron Horse remains here for our children, grandchildren and generations that follow.

A trail like this isn’t just about pavement.

It’s about getting outside.
It’s about families making memories.
It’s about walking, running and riding.
It’s about connecting people with nature and with each other.

And while the Iron Horse proudly calls Montpelier home, it belongs in spirit to everyone who comes here to enjoy it.

So whether you’re from Montpelier, another Williams County community, or just passing through—

Come enjoy the Iron Horse.

We’re proud to take care of it.
We’re proud to share it.
And we’re proud to preserve it for generations to come.

Montpelier built the Iron Horse. Now let’s make it a trail that Williams County can enjoy together.
