It’s that time of year, the White County Fair is here! We know this is always a favorite time for many to connect with Erik, so we want to be transparent and honest about his availability for fair week.

Erik’s wife, Ashley, had surgery on Thursday and is still in the process of settling in at home and recovering. He will be at home helping her as needed, but asked that we let everyone know that he hopes to be at the fair in the evenings later in the week.

Thank you for understanding. Erik and team hope to see you at the fair!

Happy 250th Birthday, America! It is scorching hot out there, but don’t let that stop you from checking out the local celebrations. Just make sure to stay hydrated and stay safe!

Erik will be at the Madam Carroll Saturday morning to give the invocation before the Lake Freeman Boat Parade and Veteran’s Cruise presented by the Madam Carroll. He will head over to Wolcott in the afternoon to walk in the Wolcott Summer Festival Parade.

If you see him, make sure to say hi, grab a picture and maybe give him a bottle of water or a popsicle!

WMRS did a great job of listing all your holiday options, there is something for everyone this weekend!

Thank you to everyone that supported us in the primary yesterday! We appreciate each and every one of you and are looking forward to November.

A quick housekeeping note: if you supported the campaign with an election sign, please have those pulled by the end of the week if possible. You are welcome to hang on to them until November, otherwise we will be out to collect them from you.

White County Farm Bureau has organized a Meet the Candidates night and it’s tomorrow!

Erik will be present, as will many other candidates that are running for county positions. Please join us at the White County Fairgrounds. Doors open at 7pm and it is a free event.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone next week, Tuesday the 24th.

Just a few housekeeping notes as the date approaches:

1) Family friendly! Everyone is welcome, down to the littlest supporters.

2) Erik and members of the campaign team will be on hand from 6-8, but the event is an open house, come and go style. Even if it’s just to say hello, please stop by for as little or long as you can. The boat will remain docked.

3) There will be plenty of delicious Oak & Barrel appetizers so please come and enjoy. There is plenty of space to sit down, grab a bite and socialize with friends old and new.
