🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — 25 Years Later, We Still Remember.
There are dates in history that become more than a date.
They become a memory.
A feeling.
A moment that forever divides time into before and after.
September 11, 2001, was one of those days.
That morning began like any other. People kissed their families goodbye, grabbed a cup of coffee, headed to work, boarded airplanes, and started another ordinary Tuesday.
Then, in a matter of moments, everything changed.
Behind every image we remember were real people. Mothers and fathers. Sons and daughters. Husbands and wives. Friends and coworkers. People with plans for that evening and loved ones waiting for them to come home.
2,977 people never did.
And while so many were desperately trying to escape the unimaginable, others were running toward it.
Firefighters climbed stairwells while others came down. Law enforcement and EMS rushed toward devastation. Dispatchers answered desperate calls for help and sent responders where they were needed. Military members and ordinary citizens stepped forward, knowing only that someone needed help.
In the middle of unimaginable fear were extraordinary acts of courage, compassion, and selflessness.
Strangers helped strangers. People carried the injured, comforted those who were afraid, and refused to leave others behind. Some made phone calls simply to say “I love you” one last time.
Twenty-five years have passed, and a generation has grown up knowing September 11th only through photographs, recordings, stories, and history books.
So it is our responsibility to remember for them.
Remember those who went to work and never came home.
Remember those who answered the call and gave everything.
Remember the families who have carried their absence for 25 years.
And remember how, in the darkest of moments, Americans reached for one another.
Today, we pause to honor the lives lost, the heroes, and the families who still carry September 11th with them every single day.
May we never become so far removed from that morning that we forget what it cost.
Twenty-five years later, we remember.
Today, tomorrow, and always.
Never Forget. 🇺🇸
