We are thankful for our continuing partnership with the Florida Department of Education, Jefferson County School Board
and Jefferson County Schools K-12, A Community Partnership School by receiving two Firearm Detection K-9s through the Florida Safe Schools Canine Grant Program over the past couple years. These K-9s, and their handlers, are certified in the detection of fi****ms and are specifically designed to be utilized in school type settings.
Our Firearm Detection K-9 Unit provides another critical layer of protection and safety for the students, faculty and staff.
School safety is and will continue to be a priority of this Office.
