The drought has been ongoing in Arkansas for over 6 months. Each week, it gets worse. This week is no different. Extreme and exceptional drought prevails and grows across the Natural State.

Drew County IS STILL UNDER A BURN BAN. The weather conditions remain very dry and the steady winds throughout the day have not helped. Be smart!

A combination of sustained winds between 10 to 15 mph, wind gusts of 20 to 30 mph (35+ mph in the higher terrain) coupled with continued dry conditions and dry fuels will lead to an elevated wildfire danger on Tuesday, especially Tuesday afternoon.
