Another successful Touch a Tractor in the books! We had a HOT 🥵 but wonderful day with you all!

We had a special addition to the day with a check presentation from Heart of Illinois Community Foundation for our Agricultural in the Classroom program - we are so very thankful for their support that allows us to spread agriculture knowledge and information to students far & wide between Piatt & Dewitt counties. These funds will go directly to getting more schools between our two counties equipped with their very own Gardyn towers.

A big thank you to AHW LLC John Deere Monticello Il for bringing over a combine & Topflight Grain for supplying us with grain for our sensory bins & their fun semi for the kids to sit in!

& a big congratulations to Aidan Himes on being the winner of our four Illini vs Purdue tickets for October 3rd!

Thank you all for coming out - we hope you had a great time and can’t wait to see you next year!

We are so grateful for Heart of Illinois Community Foundation! We couldn’t impact the amount of students we do without their support.

We presented a $10,000 grant to Piatt-Dewitt Ag in the Classroom Director Pam Chambers and Piatt County Farm Bureau Manager Sydnee Beniach at today’s Touch a Tractor event in Monticello.

This grant provides students throughout Piatt and DeWitt counties with hands-on opportunities to learn about agriculture, science and where their food comes from.

The heat didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits, Pam’s joy at receiving our second year of support was contagious and we even got to check out a few tractors ourselves!

Growing knowledge, growing opportunities and growing our impact across Piatt and DeWitt counties. 🌽 🚜 👩‍🌾

🚨TAKE ACTION: Protect American Beef Production 🚨

Illinois Farm Bureau and Illinois Beef Association are asking you to urge Congress and the White House to protect American beef production.

An additional 660 million pounds of foreign beef is set to enter the U.S. over just 90 days at prices 25% below market value, undercutting producers.

Now is not the time. Farmers need long-term market stability, allowing producers to rebuild the U.S. cattle herd, increase American beef production and ensure consumers have access to a safe, abundant and affordable food supply.
