Phillip Ensler has served Alabama his entire adult life as a State Representative, attorney, youth mentor, nonprofit leader and former public school educator.

Putting more money in your pockets. Strengthening our public schools. Making communities safer. Protecting hospitals.

My campaign has always focused on the issues that matter most to Alabamians, and that was never going to change based on the outcome of last night’s Republican runoff.

I have served the people of this great state for many years. As a public school teacher, I helped prepare our students for success beyond the classroom. As a lawyer, I defended Alabamians’ constitutional rights. As a legislator for House District 74, I worked across the aisle to deliver results for all Alabamians.

Before I entered public service, I promised myself that I would never be bought or bossed around by special interests. I have kept that promise.

I have consistently offered solutions, not distractions and have built a campaign based on bringing people together.

On November 3rd, the choice is clear: an Alabama for some or an Alabama for all.

After visiting Chilton, Houston, and Randolph counties this week I am excited to have been to almost half of Alabama’s counties. I’m looking forward to visiting the rest soon!

So many political Ads these days in Alabama are nauseating. They are everything but the values that my family instilled in me. Today on the campaign trail I came across this art that speaks to the very values that I believe in. Alabama, it’s time to elect leaders who will uphold these shared values.

It’s official. The results are in: I just secured the Democratic nomination for Lt. Governor of Alabama.

Thank you to my family, friends, and supporters for helping make this possible.

Winning in November will not be easy but Alabamians are ready for change.

Everywhere I go, I hear from residents who want serious leaders. They are sick of politicians and powerful interest groups who would rather keep us divided than offer solutions.

Together, we will build a broad coalition of Democrats, Republicans, and independents that are committed to improve affordability, keep hospitals open, strengthen public schools, and make communities safer.

Let’s keep up the hard, but necessary work to move our state forward and create an Alabama for all!

Today, I visited my 30th county as I make my way to all 67 in Alabama. I have loved traveling the state and meeting incredible people who make our state beautiful. Everywhere I go I hear a similar message: Alabamians want change through leaders committed to solutions, not agendas.

After a long week at the legislature, it was inspiring to join the Birmingham Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority for the “Coffee with the Candidates” event. So many Alabamians are fired up and ready to vote on May 19th for leaders focused on representing ALL Alabamians and not just some.
