🌲📖✨ Now Open at Riverfront Park! ✨📖🌲

The Town of Montgomery is excited to welcome families to the new Wanderwood Trails & Tales Story Trail and nature-inspired play area at Riverfront Park!

Take a stroll along the beautiful waterfront while enjoying a story brought to life page by page along the trail. Children can explore, imagine, and connect with nature through reading, movement, and outdoor play.

What a beautiful start to the growing season at the Town of Montgomery Community Garden! 🌱☀️

Our Community Garden Kick-Off Party was filled with sunshine, blooming flowers, growing vegetables, and wonderful community spirit. It is amazing to see the garden coming to life again with so many gardeners planting, growing, and connecting together.

Have you ever wanted to grow your own vegetables, herbs, or flowers while being part of a welcoming community of gardeners? We still have a couple garden plots available for the season!

Whether you are an experienced gardener or just getting started, the Community Garden is a great place to learn, grow, and enjoy the outdoors together. 🍅🌻🥕

Something new is coming to Riverfront Park… and you’re going to want to see this 👀📚🌿

We’ve started installing our very first Story Trail—a walk-through reading experience where pages of a story come to life along the trail. This isn’t just a path, it’s something you experience.

✨ Bilingual stories (English & Spanish)
✨ Original work by local authors and illustrators
✨ QR codes for audio narration
✨ Built right into the beauty of the park

This project will give families a reason to explore, kids a reason to read, and all of us a new way to enjoy Riverfront Park.

Even better—this entire trail is a gift to our community, fully donated by Wanderwood Trails and Tales.

We’ll be announcing the first story soon 👀
AND… a ribbon cutting + official opening event date is coming next 🎉

👇 We want to hear from you:
What kind of story would you love to see on the trail? Adventure? Nature? Something funny?

Tag someone you’d walk this trail with ❤️

Stay tuned—this is going to be something special.

Happy Earth Day from our parks 🌎🌿

Today is a reminder of what we’re lucky to have right here—trails to walk, water to protect, trees that have stood for generations, and open spaces that bring people together.

Across our parks, this work shows up in real ways:
🌱 Restoring trails and natural areas
🌱 Protecting waterways like the Wallkill & Tin Brook
🌱 Expanding access so more people can get outside
🌱 Creating spaces for families to connect with nature

Every small action adds up. Pick up litter on your walk. Stay on the trail. Plant something. Bring someone outside who needs it.

This year, we’re building more than parks—we’re building connection, stewardship, and a future that lasts.

Get outside today. The parks are waiting.
