This is a special appeal for you to come and encourage others to come to the Alabama New South Coalition 43rd Fall Membership Convention on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the RSA Activity Center, 201 Dexter Avenue, Montgomery, AL from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Our theme for this conference is: Building Bridges, Not Walls: Our Path to Freedom”.

PLEASE COME!
These are critical times for our country, our state and our Alabama New South Coalition. We are all working on making our country and our state better places in which to live. We are also working to make our Alabama New South Coalition stronger so it will help make our country and our state stronger. We need you to come and participate. We need you encourage others to come. A strong Alabama New South Coalition is absolutely necessary to deal with these terrible and dangerous times.

We will have a luncheon program from 12:00p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The luncheon speaker will be the Honorable Kristen Clarke, Former Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights under President Barack Obama and currently General Counsel of the NAACP. She is a great speaker.

The Alabama New South Coalition will hold its 43rd Fall Membership Convention on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the RSA Activity Center, located at 201 Dexter Avenue in downtown Montgomery.

A complimentary reception is scheduled for Friday, September 25th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Springhill Suites by Marriott, located at 152 Coosa Street in downtown Montgomery. If you require overnight accommodations, please call the hotel at

The Alabama New South Alliance Endorsement Convention for the 2026 Primary Election will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Maggie Street Dream Center, 642 Maggie Street, Montgomery, AL 36104. Federal and statewide candidates will be screened and considered for endorsement from 9:30 A.M. to 11:45 A.M.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Reimagining Democracy.”

We are honored to present two distinguished speakers for this convention:

• 9:00 A.M. Speaker: Evan Milligan, Co-Director, The Sanctuary at Jubilee Community Center, Montgomery, Alabama
• 12:00 Noon Luncheon Speaker: Attorney Colin Burke, NAACP Legal Defense Fund

Important Note:
Candidates serving only one county will be screened and considered for endorsement by the local Alabama New South Alliance (ANSA) Chapter in that county. However, if you attend the convention, you will be given one (1) minute to introduce yourself to members and guests.
