September is Su***de Prevention Month.

I know that for a lot of people this is just another awareness post to scroll past. But....

If you are the one having a hard time right now, you matter. Not because of what you produce or how well you are holding it together. You just do. And you do not have to white-knuckle it by yourself.

If you are worried about somebody, you do not need training or the perfect words. Ask them directly. It does not put the idea in their head, and it tells them you noticed. Then listen without rushing to fix it, stay with them, and help them make the call.

988 is the Su***de and Crisis Lifeline. Call, text, or chat. Free, confidential, answered 24/7. And it is not only for the person in crisis. If you are scared for someone you love and do not know what to do next, you can call it for yourself.

Happy last day, Adam Brown! 🎉

After 25 years of service to 9-1-1, Adam is officially walking out these doors and into retirement!

We are incredibly thankful for all he has done for our staff, for Alabama’s 9-1-1 professionals, and for the 9-1-1 profession as a whole. His knowledge, dedication, and commitment to serving others have made a lasting impact, and he will certainly be missed around our office.

Program update for our districts: the legacy cost reimbursement program is winding down.

AT&T has agreed to cease legacy charges after September 26, 2026. Our reimbursement program will continue through December 31, 2026.
