Giving Gown Foundation 2026 Prom Boutique
The Giving Gown Foundation Prom Boutique took place this year, from February 6th to February 14th. Weekends were for the setup and teardown of this massive volunteer project, which relies on over 400 volunteers annually! Bammel Church Of Christ lets the Foundation utilize their Church facilities for the Prom Boutique to accomplish the Foundation’s Mission to Empower Girls and strive to promote confidence and self-esteem to high school girls and help them attend their formal events in style, regardless of financial circumstances - ONE DRESS AT A TIME. There are rows and rows of dresses arranged by color and size. When you step into the Boutique, a feeling of amazement washes over you as you are surrounded by the sheer beauty collected here by amazing volunteers and monetary contributions.
Giving Gown Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization. It relies entirely on monetary and in-kind contributions from individuals, corporations, and philanthropic partners. These gifts make it possible to provide prom gowns, accessories, meals, swag bags, and a powerful empowerment workshop—completely free of charge to the attendees.
The Giving Gown Foundation collects donations of new and like-new formal gowns and accessories and provides them free of charge to high school girls who would otherwise be unable to attend their formal events. Fairy Godmother helps “the Princesses” select their gowns during the Prom Boutique. Still, others are working as volunteers to keep everything running each day, from helping set up and break down the Boutique and provide meals to the students, to serving as seamstresses to fix and alter the gowns, and many other volunteer activities.
The high school girls register for this event, and their schools bring them by bus to attend sessions from Wednesday through Friday. Saturday is reserved for individuals to register for the event. Pre-Registration for the event is required.
While the girls may be focused on their dress, the Foundation volunteers are focused on them. The Foundation Mission is for each girl to be treated with respect, grace, and love. Every young woman deserves the opportunity to realize positive experiences regardless of their financial or family circumstances.
Lake Conroe Centennial Lions Club members have volunteered at the Prom Boutique for the last two years and find it a wonderful event to support young women.
