"Frost found himself sitting tandem in one of the nimble, supersonic fighter planes with his hand on the stick as Southern Arizona zipped by beneath him. He called that moment "the perfect primer for my career ambitions."

Graduating Wildcat Bridger Frost ended his undergraduate journey on a high note: Taking control of an F-16 fighter jet while flying over Southern Arizona.

Cadet Sydney Shouse is a senior at the 290th Detachment at the University of Kentucky. This weekend, she be taking over the our social media and sharing what it is like to be in Louisville during Kentucky Derby season!

The Kentucky Derby is a world-famous horse race. It is preceded by the Kentucky Derby Festival, a two-week celebration filled with events that bring together both locals and visitors.

The royal court represents the Festival, the Fillies, Inc., and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Growing up in Louisville, Derby season has always been a highlight for her, and some of her favorite memories come from events like Thunder Over Louisville, which first sparked her interest in aviation.

"AFROTC has played a huge role in being selected for this opportunity, shaping my leadership, discipline, and commitment to serve.” Says Shouse. “I am incredibly grateful for the chance to represent both the Kentucky Derby Royal Court and AFROTC, and to do it alongside four fantastic women who are driven and dedicated to serving others."

A group of Air Force ROTC Cadets at Troy University decided to Aim High... Remotely!

In under a year, eight cadets at Detachment 017 have already earned their Remote Pilot certification.
