Oh sure!! First they give it to you for free! But what they really want is for you to get hooked and keep coming back for more! Then before you know it, you're hanging out by the lake every weekend! You start to make different choices about how you spend your time! Now instead of watching TV and doing NOTHING you're out there catching those blasted fish! Your family misses you! "Just one more cast," you say! They try it too and next thing you know they're also hooked! Even the kids are affected!! The whole family is out there having fun and then you're filling the freezer with delicious filets! You need more gear and you start putting stickers on your truck and your new cooler! You're taking days off work for this and your whole lifestyle changes for the better! If you're not ready for these consequences then don't go!
NOT EVEN ONCE.

Officer Perkins provided 1st aid training to our staff today. Everyone practiced applying pressure bandages, tourniquets, splints, and packing wounds. We spend a lot of time out and about and in areas where there is potential for injury; we strive to assist as much as possible in all emergency situations and training like today will help us serve you better should the need arise. 🩹

Your fishing trip can do more than create memories, it can help support the future of Alabama’s coastal fisheries.

AL Creel is a survey of Alabama’s saltwater anglers that gathers important information about fishing effort, catch rates and angler experiences. The data collected helps fisheries managers make informed decisions that benefit both anglers and marine resources.
