As the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University begins its 98th year of legal education, the law school is celebrating record enrollment and significant growth in applications, reflecting an expanding national reach and growing interest in its programs.

As of August 17, 2026, the Fall 2026 entering class includes 193 registered students representing 18 states and two countries. For the first time in the law school’s history, a majority of the entering class, 55%, comes from outside Alabama.

Faulkner Law hosted its second Professionalism Speaker Series panel this week, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and the Law.

The panel helped students explore the opportunities and challenges AI presents in the legal profession. They heard from College of Business Dean Justin Bond on the Fundamentals of AI, Professor Emma Mitchell on the Uses of AI and Justice John Browning on the Ethics of AI.
