Dear Parents:

Welcome to Vaughn Road Elementary School. We truly want to make education an enjoyable experience for every child and every parent, guardian, and family member. My faculty and I have been working hard all summer in workshops designed to teach each child so that he or she will continue to progress. We set high expectations for not only ourselves, but also every child on our campus. We are particularly proud to be an Alabama Math, Science, Technology Initiative (AMSTI) school again this school year. We are also very proud of our association as an Arts Integrated School with the Alabama Institute for Education in the Arts.

The material included on the Vaughn Road Website is to provide you with information about Vaughn Road Elementary School. We are implementing several new ideas this year in an effort to benefit you and your children. We want you to be informed. This summer, I have met with parents, teachers, community leaders, and students in an effort to gather input from everyone on how to best serve our students. Please take the time to read through the information on the website and check back often for updates on current happenings at VRE. If you have any suggestions for improvements or questions, please feel free to contact me personally. The only time I am inaccessible is when I'm in a meeting or out ill (very rarely).

Remember, Vaughn Road Elementary School's motto is, "Together Everyone Achieves More". The acronym is TEAM. YOU are a critical part of the TEAM.
