Parents and students play a key role in backโ€‘toโ€‘school safety. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ“š Alabama Law Enforcement Agency encourages families to review safe routes, remind younger children to avoid entering the road unexpectedly, and reinforce seat belt use.

Student drivers should slow down, keep phones put away, and limit distractions from passengers ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’š

Together, we can make this school year safe from the first day to the last.

With more students walking and biking to school, ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’š Alabama Law Enforcement Agency encourages everyone to stay alert and make safe choices! Students should use sidewalks, cross at marked crosswalks, and look left, right, and left again before crossing.

Establish eye contact with drivers, avoiding using phones or headphones, and wear bright or reflective clothing during lowโ€‘light conditions. These tips will make all the difference! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š

Letโ€™s keep our sidewalks, crosswalks, and neighborhoods safe for every child.

As school buses return to the roads, ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸšŒ๐Ÿ’š Alabama Law Enforcement Agency urges motorists to stop when flashing red lights appear and the stop arm extends. Never pass a stopped school bus when prohibited by law.

Students should arrive early, wait safely away from the road, and approach only when the bus has fully stopped and the driver signals itโ€™s safe. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ’š

Letโ€™s work together to keep every child safe at the bus stop.

As students head back to school, ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š drivers will see busy roads, school buses making frequent stops, and more young pedestrians around neighborhoods and school zones. ALEA reminds everyone to slow down, stay alert, and put distractions away while driving. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’š

Drivers should allow extra travel time during morning dropโ€‘off and afternoon dismissal, watch closely for children walking or biking, and never pass a vehicle stopped for pedestrians. Together, we can help protect Alabamaโ€™s students.

Montgomery County is proud to recognize Chairman Doug Singleton for his national appointments to NACoโ€™s Large Urban County Caucus (LUCC) and the Veterans and Military Services Advisory Council. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’šโœจ
These leadership roles place Chairman Singleton at the center of critical conversations that shape urban counties across America โ€” from strengthening youth support systems ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒฑ through NACoโ€™s โ€œBuilding Better Futuresโ€ initiative, to advancing policies that uplift veterans and military families ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ across our community.
His dedication to collaboration, dataโ€‘driven solutions, and resilient county leadership continues to make Montgomery County stronger, more supportive, and more future focused. We are grateful for his service and proud of this national recognition. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿค

This week has been a huge win for Montgomery County. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿฅ
Jackson Hospital and Blue Cross Blue Shield have officially reached an agreement that keeps healthcare services in place. Protecting our hospital, our families, our seniors, our workforce, and the future of our city. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’š
At a time when Montgomery is working hard to attract new businesses, strengthen our economy, and make our community cleaner and safer, this stability in healthcare is a gameโ€‘changing milestone. ๐Ÿ’šโœจ
We appreciate the leadership and cooperation that made this possible, and we remain committed to supporting quality, affordable, reliable healthcare for every resident we serve. This is a major step toward a stronger, healthier Montgomery. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฑ

What an incredible morning at Montgomery Regional Airport! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’šโœˆ๏ธ
We joined Congressman Shomari Figures for the announcement of $8,506,686 in FAA Airport Improvement Program funding. A major investment to rehabilitate Runway 10โ€‘28 and strengthening our regionโ€™s transportation infrastructure. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ›ซ
Vice Chair Mooreโ€‘Zeigler, Commissioner Sankey, and Commissioner Castanza were there to celebrate this milestone for Montgomery County and the entire River Region. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿค
And after the press conference, we had a special surprise... Getting to see the Fโ€‘35s up close and personal. An unforgettable moment! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’šโœจโœˆ๏ธ
