Outlet Stores in Foley, AL, Silver Sands Designer Outlet Stores in Destin, FL beach trips, Georgia Aquarium and Casino trips to Biloxi, MS. The ITT office sells discounted tickets to a variety of local, in state and out of state attractions including Montgomery Biscuit Baseball (Military Wednesdays only), Talladega races and surrounding attractions, including the Alabama Shakespeare Festival Theater, the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre (MPAC), Georgia Aquarium, Six Flags, Disney, Universal Studios, Sea World, Kennedy Space Center and others. Equipment Checkout- The Equipment Checkouts rent a wide variety of items on a daily or weekly basis. Items range from indoor and outdoor sports equipment and gardening tools to barbeque grills and camping supplies. On-base fishing permits can be purchased at Equipment Checkout at Maxwell. Maxwell and Gunter also have a recreation storage lot for boats and camping trailers available for small a fee. FamCamp- Maxwell FamCamp offers recreational vehicle camping sites for both short and long term use overlooking the beautiful Maxwell Base Lakes. The facility has RV sites with electricity, water and sewage hook-ups, local and satellite TV channels, an area for tent camping, a full bath house and a laundry facility. The FamCamp also provides year round entertainment for water enthusiasts with a variety of boats available for rent to enjoy on- or off base. Reserve boats, kayaks or canoes by contacting the office during regular business hours. Customers must have a vessel license to rent and operate motorized boats
Hopper Lodge- a chalet-style facility, seats over 150 people and is used for various activities. You may reserve Hopper Lodge through the Outdoor Recreation for both official and private functions. Lake Martin- Located on the beautiful Lake Martin Reservoir just one hour away from Montgomery, the Maxwell-Gunter Recreation Area is excellent for any outdoor recreation from fishing to hiking. Lake Martin is one of the premier locations for fishing, also the most scenic in the state. The recreation area includes spots for day picnicking with grills, rough camping, 30 RV sites with water and electrical hook-ups, sewage dump station, 11 mobile home rentals, boat rentals, boat storage, boat launch, marina, fishing pier, laundry, playground, showers, beach, nature trail, swimming area and beautiful sandy beach, and 4 fully furnished chalet cabins. Make reservations at Outdoor Recreation, building 851, Mon-Fri, 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or by phone at 334-953-3509 option 1. Active duty personnel may make reservations six months in advance; all others four months. Cancellations must be made more than seven days before arrival date. If within the seven day window, a fee of $15 will be assessed. Cabins are operated in accordance with AFI 34-262. Must call Lake Martin for late check-in. Lakeside Pavilion- The lakeside pavilion at Maxwell AFB's base lakes has a covered pavilion with barbecue grills. There are two six acre base lakes stocked with a variety of fish. Mid Bay Shores- Can you imagine relaxing on the sandy shore with a beautiful sunset glistening on the water on Florida’s Gulf of Mexico shores? You have spent the day boating, and swimming, and now you are grilling your dinner on the grill beside your beautiful cabin.... Mid-Bay Shores boasts the beautiful white sandy shores of Choctawhatchee Bay. The gated entrance is just before the Mid- Bay Bridge, a toll bridge that connects Niceville and Destin. Located about three hours from Maxwell in Niceville, FL. Mid-Bay Shores is one of the most desirable vacationing areas in the Southeast. This location offers easy access to Destin with its great shopping, dining and family entertainment facilities and with its good year-round weather really makes it a gem for the Air Force. The site offers the 25 new furnished cabins plus 26 RV spaces with full hook-ups – water, electrical and sewer, and six overflow sites with just water and electrical hook-ups. Visitors have access to barbecue grills and picnic tables next to their facility. There is also a new bathhouse with laundry facilities and fitness center. The cabins are two-bedrooms with large closets, one bath, large living room and eat-in kitchen. The kitchen offers a full size range and refrigerator and dining table with six chairs. The living room has a queen-size sleeper sofa. The centrally air conditioned and heated cabins also have a color television for relaxing. Pools-Swimmers have two options to enjoy the pools; they can either buy a season pass or pay daily admission charge. Both pools feature two-flume 12-foot slides, pool side basketball goals, locker rooms and an eating area. Maxwell and Gunter pools can be reserved after hours for private pool parties. Pool management recommends dependants with military I.D. ages 11-13 get a pool "Fish" pass. Contact the Maxwell or Gunter Youth Center for swim lessons or swim team. Vehicle Resale Lot- All vehicles on the sales lot must have a permit prominently displayed. To obtain this permit, customers must present valid ID, current registration to include tag number and expiration date, and proof of insurance to Equipment Checkout. Vehicles must be registered in customer’s name or be accompanied by a power of attorney authorizing the sale. Cost is $8.00 per week for cars and motorcycles and $11.00 per week for recreational vehicles and boats.
