What an incredible evening at the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce! I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Congressman Shomari Figures and State Senator William M. "Billy" Beasley for hosting such a meaningful event and for their commitment to engaging with the people of Barbour County.
It was a true privilege for Independent Rights and Resources to be part of this gathering and to share our mission of empowering individuals with disabilities. We were honored to educate community members about disability advocacy, independent living, and the many services and resources available to help individuals live with dignity, independence, and equal opportunity.
For us, advocacy is more than a service—it's a calling. Every conversation we have, every barrier we help remove, and every person we empower brings us one step closer to building a more inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
