We would like to thank the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce for extending an invite to our councilmembers to attend the most recent networking event at Little Donkey. It was a partnership with Montgomery TechLab and it was great for our members to network with other professionals in the area.

Be on the lookout for more networking events this summer. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

We would like to take this moment to highlight a special member on our council, Joshua Gordon. Joshua has truly left his mark in the City of Montgomery by being the brains behind Montgomery’s new city flag!

Joshua told us that the idea behind his design was to re-use some of the existing elements of the city's flag and repurpose them in a way that evoked a sense of progression and renewal.

We are so proud of you, Joshua!

Joshua Gordon, whose design was chosen for the City of Montgomery's new flag, spoke to WSFA about the design and the message he hopes people take from it.

We would like to take a moment to celebrate those who are teachers and nurses on the council! These women go above and beyond each day serving others! They witness the unforgettable, serve with resilience, and create a better tomorrow whether through their patients or through the students they teach! We are so proud of these women and want to thank them for who they are to each of us!

Happy Nurses Appreciation Week! Happy Teachers Appreciation Week!

MYPC partnered with ZiZi’s Bee Company, on Earth Day, in an effort to help keep Montgomery clean! During this time, we were able to learn more about ZiZi’s Bee Company and had the opportunity to work alongside them as we collected trash in the area! We collected over 155 pounds of trash on the streets.

What a wonderful partnership we had with ZiZi’s Bee Company and we look forward to more partnerships in the future.

Cordarius King recently received an award through his job called the PNC Market All Stars Program which is an annual recognition initiative that celebrates & spotlights employees who demonstrate superior performance, client service, and adherence to company core values. Congratulations Cordarius!

Kneosha McGlon recently spoke on the Montgomery County, District 6 School Board Forum in which she is running for the district seat.
