NEXT WEEKEND! Next Heavy Trash Weekend is September 12 & 13!

All Historic Montgomery, TX residents within the city limits can bring heavy trash from 8 AM to 5 PM. Your City of Montgomery utility bill showing garbage service and your Texas Driver's License to show proof of residency will be needed. First come, first served! This opportunity ends when the dumpsters are full.

Electronics
Batteries
Asbestos
Harmful chemicals
Flammable liquids

Let’s Keep Beautiful! 🌿

Help us maintain the charm of our city by following the rules for temporary signs.

According to the City of Montgomery Code of Ordinances:
➡️ Temporary signs (political, garage sale, etc.) are allowed on private property with the property owner’s consent.

🚫 Signs are not allowed in the public right-of-way (along streets, sidewalks, medians, etc.).

If signs are placed within the public right-of-way inside city limits, the City of Montgomery Public Works Department is required to remove and dispose of them.

Please double-check where your signs are placed and thank you for helping preserve the beauty of our community!

* Know your hurricane risk.
* Consider buying flood insurance.
* Register for the State of Texas Emergency Assistance registry by calling 211.
* Sign up for alerts and warnings.
* Make an emergency plan.
* Make a family communication plan.
* Plan shelter options.
* Know your evacuation route.
* Build or restock your basic disaster supplies kit, including food and water, a flashlight, batteries, chargers, cash, and first aid supplies.
* Familiarize yourself with local emergency plans. Know where to go and how to get there should you need to get to higher ground or to evacuate.
* Stay tuned to local wireless emergency alerts, TV, or radio for weather updates, emergency instructions, or evacuation orders.
