ion Guidelines for Interaction and Commenting on Social Media
These guidelines are designed to promote proper conduct for general use on Montgomery Village Foundation’s (MVF) social media channels, including establishing reasons that MVF may moderate, limit or remove content posted by the general public.
• MVF promotes a welcoming environment online. Treat everyone with respect. Healthy debate may be part of the conversation, however kindness and respect are encouraged. Foul/vulgar language is prohibited.
• Create a safe space. Bullying and/or Harassment of any kind isn't allowed, and hate speech or degrading comments about age, race, ethnicity, nation of origin, religion, disability, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.
• Instigating harassment, for example by revealing someone’s personal or confidential information, is not allowed, and will result in a permanent ban across MVF’s social media channels.
• MVF will not tolerate po*******hy or references to po*******hy of any kind.
• Linking to other groups and external websites is generally not allowed, unless in reference to information on MVF-owned websites (www.montgomeryvillage.com, www.mvfarmersmarket.com) or Village News articles (www.montgomeryvillage.com/press-room/village-news). Spam or unrelated links are prohibited.
• Use MVF’s posts or pages for direct sales of used, new or other merchandise, or promotion of personal businesses or services is strictly prohibited.
• Violation of guidelines may result in warnings, temporary suspension or account being blocked from engagement on MVF social media channels.
