For Montgomery County Young Republicans and YRs all across the state, this is our core platform. This is what we stand for, not only on behalf of ourselves but everyone across Maryland. These are the local, real issues that affect Marylanders every day, and these key points should not be lost in the chatter of national politics, outlier voices, or debates where incumbents can’t prove their value or show any successful results that matter. For too long (and we’re talking DECADES), the Democrats in power have made living here less affordable, less safe, less friendly for businesses, and have lowered overall quality of life for citizens (except for their own personal interests and re-election goals, of course). Because it hasn’t stopped before, it must stop now.
Support your Republican candidates in this year’s elections - they are bringing these values, common sense, and accountability back to Montgomery County and the state. Be an informed voter - do your research, respectfully engage in policy-focused dialogues with a variety of candidates, follow the money, and do the math. And maybe, don’t complain about “tyrannical leaders” “corrupt politicians” and “supermajorities” in D.C. when you’ve got that in Annapolis and Rockville, too?
