What an incredible day for our Bike Rodeo! 🚲

We just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this event such a success. Seeing so many kids out riding bikes, practicing skills, learning about safety, and having fun is exactly what this event was all about.

A special thank you to our amazing community partners who helped make it happen:
đźš’ Montesano Fire Department for helping with bike checks and keeping those wheels rolling
🌭 Montesano Kiwanis for making sure everyone was fed
🏫 Montesano School District for allowing us to use the space
đź’™ And of course all the families who came out and spent part of their weekend with us

Events like this remind us how special our community is. Teaching bike safety today helps create safer, more confident riders tomorrow.

From all of us at the Montesano Police Department — thank you for making our first Bike Rodeo such a huge success. We can’t wait to do it again! 🚴‍♂️

With the weather warming up, we’re starting to see more yard clean-up and outdoor burning 🌿🔥

Last night, Officers with the Montesano Police Department assisted the Montesano Fire Department in locating an unattended yard waste fire. Thankfully it was handled quickly, but it’s a good reminder of how easily things can get away from us.

Just a friendly reminder to keep fire safety in mind:
• Check current burn regulations and local laws before burning
• Keep a water source or charged hose nearby
• Never leave a fire unattended
• Make sure your burn pile is fully out when you’re done

A little extra caution goes a long way in keeping our community safe. Thanks for doing your part!
