Dear Parents/guardians. ,
We have gone back and forth with the pick-up line, but at the end of the day, student safety has to be our main consideration. We have already had rain, and more rain is possible later this week. I do not want students crossing ditches or wet areas where they could slip or fall. Because of this, we are returning to the previous pickup procedure. We have put a video to help everyone know what to do.
Afternoon Pick-Up Procedures
Pre-K and Kindergarten will line up first. They will not line up in the middle; they will line up along the side as they did previously. There is a sign on where to start.
Elementary students who do NOT have a junior high/high school sibling will move into the pickup line at 3:25 p.m. (There is a sign for them on where to park)
Parents picking up junior high/high school students or elementary students with junior high/high school siblings have been directed to park in front of the new gym and not move forward into the pickup line until 3:30 p.m. Signs have been placed outside to help direct traffic.
This gives our junior high/high school students time to get to the pick-up area.
Parents have also been told that if they enter the line and their junior high/high school student is not there yet, they will be asked to loop around so the pick-up line can continue moving.
Parents have been asked to keep their child’s name tag clearly visible so we can identify students quickly and keep traffic moving.
Until the lower building reopens, students will wait under the pavilion between the little gym and the upper building. Once the lower building is open, we will return to our normal procedure.
