Right now, cyber actors are actively targeting the Department of the Navy personnel and even family members through emails, texts, and social media. The goal is to get you to click something, share information, or let your guard down.

This is something we can easily defend against if we stay aware. A few things to keep in mind:
• Be cautious with unexpected emails, texts, or social media messages
• Don’t click links or open attachments unless you’re sure they’re legitimate
• Take a look at your social media settings and limit what’s publicly visible
• Use strong passwords and turn on multi-factor authentication
• Keep your devices updated
• Be mindful of public Wi-Fi and unfamiliar networks

The Navy Uniform Electronic Gift Card Program is now available for eligible Sailors impacted by uniform supply shortages.

Active and Reserve Sailors who graduated RTC on or after June 1, 2024, and did not receive a full seabag may be eligible to receive an electronic gift card to obtain required uniform items through Navy Exchange Uniform Centers.

The program is designed to help ensure Sailors enter the fleet with the uniforms they need to do the job — with no out-of-pocket cost.

Eligible Sailors should review the attached graphic carefully for qualification requirements, required information, and redemption instructions. Act early. Certain program deadlines apply.

Getting ahead of mental health issues early doesn’t have to be a big move. It can be a conversation, a check-in. It can be using the resources that are already there, such as Fleet and Family Services, the base Chaplain, or medical. The point is not to wait until something forces the issue. It’s to deal with it while it’s still manageable. That’s where taking action actually works.

Readiness gets talked about like it’s equipment and training. It’s not. Not really. It’s people making decisions, reacting under pressure, staying sharp when it matters. Mental health sits right in the middle of all of that.

People don’t usually decide to ignore a mental health problem. They make a smaller decision. Not today. Not right now. After this week. Those decisions don’t feel like avoidance when you’re making them. They feel reasonable. But that’s how something that’s manageable turns into something that isn’t.
