💪 Staying active, building strength, and moving with confidence!

We had another great FREE class at the Algood Branch Library with retired physical therapist Mr. Rolando Cruz! Participants worked through easy-to-follow exercises focused on improving balance, coordination, strength, and fall prevention.

While Mr. Cruz leads his in-person classes at our Algood Branch, we’re sharing these videos across all Putnam County Library System branches because we believe seniors and active adults throughout our entire community can benefit from them. ❤️ Whether you visit Cookeville, Algood, Baxter, or Monterey, this resource is for you!

💼 Connecting Our Community with Opportunity!

Our recent Job Fair at the Monterey Branch Library was about more than finding a job-it was about creating connections, opening doors, and bringing opportunities directly to our community.

In partnership with Goodwill Careers Solutions and local employers, job seekers had the chance to meet face-to-face with businesses, learn about employment opportunities, ask questions, and submit applications-all in a welcoming and accessible space.

Programs like this are an important part of what libraries do. We aren't just a place to find books; we're a place where people can find resources, connections, opportunities, and support for their next chapter.

A huge thank you to Goodwill, our participating employers, our library staff, and everyone who stopped by and made the Job Fair a success! 💙
