We are grateful for ’s continued leadership and advocacy in championing the $20M funding restoration ask for CASAs across California. This funding is critical to ensuring children and youth in foster care and the juvenile justice system have a dedicated voice in court.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Interim CEO, Molly Snow. 💛

Over the past year, Molly has shown up for our team and our mission in ways that have truly made a difference. From listening deeply to staff, to leading with empathy and care, she helped rebuild morale and remind all of us why this work matters.

The culture, systems, and foundation she leaves behind are a gift to our organization and to the children and families we serve.

As we welcome our new permanent CEO, Shakoya Green Long, we do so standing on the strong foundation Molly helped build. We’ll miss having Molly at the helm, but this isn’t a goodbye. Once part of the CASA LA family, always part of the CASA LA family!

Thank you, Molly. CASA LA is better because of you.

June is ! 🏳️‍🌈✨

Did you know that roughly 30% of youth in foster care identify as LGBTQ+? That is nearly triple the rate of the general population.

This statistic highlights just how important it is to provide affirming, compassionate advocacy for our youth. At CASA of LA, we believe every child deserves a safe space to be their authentic self.

Happy Pride Month from all of us at CASA of LA! 🏳️‍🌈✨ Let’s continue working together to uplift and protect our LGBTQ+ youth.

🚨 CASA FUNDING IS AT RISK. 🚨
Right now, the state budget threatens critical funding that allows us to provide life-changing advocacy for children in foster care. Without these resources, thousands of vulnerable youth could lose the vital support of a CASA volunteer.

But the budget isn’t finalized yet, which means there is still time to make our voices heard.

👉 Swipe through to see what’s at stake and how you can take action.

We need you to speak up and be a champion for children in foster care. The deadline to act is June 15th. Click the link in our bio to contact your representatives today.

Youth in foster care often have many adults cycling through their lives. Sherrie Bradford, a member of CASA LA’s recruitment and outreach team, knows what that constant change feels like—and why one steady CASA can make a huge difference.

We recently sat down with Sherrie and CASA volunteer Joshua Prudhomme, who discussed the impact of CASA LA and how their own experiences show up in their work. We can’t wait to share more insights with you from their inspiring conversation.
