Reposting for TELACU Veterans Upward Bound!

Currently, our Casa de Rosas Housing unit has 8 units that are vacant and looking for veterans to house them.

The criteria for selection are verification of the following:

· A veteran who served in the active military, naval, or air service and who was discharged or released from such service under conditions other than dishonorable.
· Have a chronic health condition.
· Must be Homeless or Chronically Homeless

For next week's forum, we will be joined by R. J. Jenkins of Columbia University Center for Veteran Transition and Integration (CVTI) to go over Finals Preparation Strategies. Learn tips and strategies for a successful finals week from our friends at Columbia University!

It has been a hectic year+ since California campuses have been closed from in-person learning. With the implemented online format comes added expenses to maintain your own online learning functionality. It is inconvenient, frustrating, and taxing on multiple fronts. We want to help support you on your path to success. To help lighten your load, the ELAC VRC has been authorized to distribute $50 Walmart gift cards to currently enrolled ELAC students. Log on to next week's noon forum (May 19th) to learn how you can redeem your $50 Walmart gift card. We will be providing redemption instructions there!

Hey ELAC Veterans, dependents and supporters...join us this Friday, March 5th for our ELAC Spirit Rally! The rally starts at 12:10 pm and will be hosted on Zoom (Meeting link: http://bit.ly/ELAC030521 )
Later that evening we will be hosting a "Last Chance U" watch party featuring our very own ELAC Basketball Team on Netflix (Zoom meeting link to follow). We hope to see you all there! GO HUSKIES!!!
