High Marq had our 2026 graduation ceremony yesterday! We are so proud of or seniors and so grateful for everyone who helped make this happen. Congratulations class of 2026! We love you!!

Senior Spotlight:
Lanson Larson joined High Marq as a 7th grader, and he self-identifies as the face of our school. He is extremely driven, and he worked hard to complete most of his credits in the first couple years of high school. Landon started his college journey early, through the Start College Now program, and has gained 18 college credits in his last two years of high school. Throughout high school, he worked in our school's tech office, to prepare for his chosen career route. Landon is graduating with Academic Honors and has earned the title of High Marq's 2026 Valedictorian. After graduation, Landon will be studying Computer Engineering at UW-Platteville and plans to pursue that as a career. Congratulations, Landon! We are so proud of you!

Our 31st Field Day was at Kohler-Andrae State Park and it was definitely one for the books. We started off this field day with a walk along their scenic cord-walk trail. Then we spent the rest of the day on the beach exploring, swimming (a couple brave students) and enjoying each other’s company.

For our 30th Field Day, High Marq mostly stayed on campus and worked on our outdoor spaces. We started in the rain garden, pulling out weeds and invasives. Then we assessed what needed to be done in our sensory gardens and vegetable gardens. After a quick trip to OMalley's Greenhouse & Gifts, we got both gardens ready for the summer. We also re-mulched the outdoor classroom.

High Marq had our annual game of Vaseline watermelon Capture the Flag. This is a crowd favorite every year, and this year did not disappoint! Sorry for any Vaseline stains that might have come home on your student’s clothing.

Senior Spotlight:
Jester joined High Marq as a 10th grader, and they have grown so much since then. Jester really shines in their artwork, as well as their love of creative writing and storytelling. They picked up ceramics this year, and their beautiful projects are truly one of a kind. Jester is fascinated with nature and all things creepy & crawly. They are truly a student who appreciates nature in its entirety, and they are often seen picking up spiders, bones, and bugs. After graduation, Jester is planning on joining the workforce right away and continuing to independently study art. Congratulations Jester! We are so proud of you!

On Monday, High Marq had our 2026 Spring Presentation Night. We are so proud of our students for their hard work and wonderful presentations. What a great way to finish off the year! Thank you to everyone who helped provide food and supported our students. We appreciate all of you!

For our 29th Field Day, we went to Primates Incorporated in Westfield to help them with some projects. Our students cleaned out some brush, shoveled dirt into their garden beds, cleaned up their spaces, and even fixed the door on their shed. The monkeys had mixed feelings about us being there. For privacy purposes, we only included pictures from their website.

For our 28th Field Day, we went to the Mecan River Segment of the Ice Age Trail to collect ticks! We spent the morning learning about the different kinds of ticks, their life cycles, and what to be concerned about if you get one. We then went into the field to conduct a survey and to practice identifying various kinds of ticks. Students made their own tick collectors out of reused bedsheets. Obviously, we had to take a dip in the river before we could leave! 😂
