Just a quick reminder that tomorrow Tuesday March 31st is the Montebello Rocks program at the firehouse from 2-4.
Learn about the Blue Ridge Mountains and general rock foundations came to be. If you have a small rock you stumbled on in your garden or on the trail that you are curious about, bring it along.

A Q&A session and light refreshments will be a part of the fun!

MVFD CAFE RESCHEDULED:

Hello one and all-

The MVFD Cafe scheduled to take place has been rescheduled to Thu of this week instead, Feb 26th, starting at 10:00 am. This is due to the snow still in the area. Please bring yourselves and something yummy in just a few days - it'll be even more wonderful than usual to see you then!

CAFE' CANCELLED:

Tomorrow's Montebello Firehouse Cafe' has been cancelled for tomorrow, Jan 27th at 10:00 am. We will discuss whether to reschedule to the 2nd Tue in April during the next MVFD Business meeting on Mon, Feb 9th.

Camp Blue Ridge Community Christmas Party!

Well, tonight's the night, and we hope you'll join us at 5:00 pm in the Camp's beautiful cafeteria. Even if you haven't had the chance to RSVP, please come and join in the festivities. There will be plenty of food and drink and fellowship to go around!

Community Reminder:

Monday we'll hold the rescheduled MVFD Annual Business meeting at the Firehouse, 7:00 pm. The weather is forecast to be Pretty Darn Cold! We'll make every attempt to keep its length to a minimum, but this is a very important meeting at which we'll be voting for the 2026 MVFD Officers and Board members, as well as the budget. Please...if you're able to safely make the trek in, we would appreciate you helping us in making the necessary quorum!

WEATHER UPDATE: Tonight's Annual Business meeting of the MVFD is cancelled, and will be held instead next Monday, December 15th at 7:00 pm. Remember: this will include voting for the 2026 Officers and Board members.

For those of you who weren't a part of the fun a bit more than a week ago, a group of Montebellans and friends got together to cook a kettle of AppleButter for MVFD fundraising. It was a gorgeous day, and the cooking went faster than anybody was anticipating. Start to finish, the effort took right around 10 hours total, and resulted in some of the most beautifully rich-colored, thick and delicious stuff ever. Pint jars are available for sale in the Firehouse, or contact anybody within the MVFD to make arrangements to purchase.
