Donate at www.liveyourdream.org or through SIMIV's many fundraising opportunities. Make a difference and change a life!

Women at their best, working to help other women to be their best
“Soroptimist was formed in 1921 in Oakland, California, at a time when women were not permitted to join service organizations. Our name, loosely translated from the Latin, means best for women. Today, we have about 160,000 members and supporters in 21 countries and territories. We are one of four federations that make up Soroptimist International, which has clubs in more than 120 countries throughout the world.” (excerpted from SIA website)
The Soroptimist International of the Montclair/Inland Valley was formed in 1976. We support women and girls in the Ontario, Montclair, and Inland Valley area. We hold general business meetings monthly, where we focus on four Pillars: Programs, Membership, Community Engagement, and Fundraising. We hold an annual “Funraiser” in the Fall, where proceeds raised go to fund scholarships through the Live Your Dream program, and Service Awards to local agencies who support the Soroptimist mission. We host the Live Your Dream scholarship winners at our annual PRISM awards luncheon each Spring, where city, and local dignitaries come to celebrate our winners, and our chapter also provides awards to outstanding women and organizations who also champion our cause.
We also hold support various local projects, such as the Montclair Meals on Wheels program, and an Upland and Ontario Library Read in, where children are engaged with guest readers and are provided free books.
We are looking for professional women of all ages who have a passion and commitment to aide fellow women in gaining economic empowerment. Won’t you join us?
