We need 6 more people! Our Favorite DJ Corey will be on the float!

S.O.F.I.A. invites you to walk with us in Montclair, NJ, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in celebration of Montclair's African-American Heritage Parade and Festival (MAAHF). Joining us will help spread our message to eradicate Domestic Violence and connect with our community.

We line up at 9:00am at Glenfield School, Maple Ave Montclair, decorate the float and have a great time walking in the parade.
You may wear a purple tee in recognition of Domestic Violence awareness or a S.O.F.I.A. t-shirt.

Together - we did it! Our Karaoke & Comedy Fundraiser at Just Jake's was a Wonderful Success!

We raised $3500 for our Start Out Fresh program! This will help us purchase necessities for those leaving the Safe House for new apartments.

Special THANK YOUs to host DJ Corey Anderson and Glen โ€œRated Gโ€ Sellers.

Thank you also to all the karaoke stars who had us rocking and singing along to Erykah Badu, Whitney Houston, Teddy Pendergrass, and more!

A grateful thank you to the men of Eureka Lodge #52 who donated our Elite Raffle item of a new laptop and to the S.O.F.I.A. Board Members who donated the local gift cards!

And thank you to the Just Jake's staff for their
warm welcome and excellent service.
