✨ Big News for Water Safety in New Jersey! ✨

Today, Governor Phil Murphy signed Bill A4763 into law, a meaningful step forward for water safety in his state. Under this new law, the New Jersey Department of Education will create and distribute an educational water safety fact sheet for parents and guardians — including tips on reducing the risk of injury or drowning, swim lessons, proper use of flotation devices, and the importance of safe water conditions and lifeguards. The bill also directs schools to share a list of where swimming lessons and water safety courses are offered, including free or low-cost options.
💧 Drowning can happen quickly and silently. The more parents and caregivers are informed, the more lives we can protect.
