The White Lake Chamber Music Festival presents world-class chamber music concerts!

The White Lake Chamber Music Festival has a proven 13-year, successful track record of creating excellent programming, hosting exceptional talent and world-class artists, and presenting inspiring classical music performances! What once was mostly found only in metropolitan cities, is now a yearly experience in the White Lake area. During the first two weeks of August, local, national, and internat

ional performers come together to bring big-city experiences to the emerging White Lake area, making the fine arts more accessible in this under-served community. Typically over 20 varied events and performances in just 10 days are presented to diverse audiences, ranging from preschool age to veterans, to the elderly. This annual festival attracts musicians from the Chicago Symphony, the Detroit Symphony, the Grand Rapids Symphony, the West Michigan Symphony, plus world-class artists. It is a program of the White Lake Chamber Music Society, a multi-faceted organization featuring concerts, collaborations with local organizations and institutions, and strong educational programming. The White Lake area is a beautiful lakefront community near Lake Michigan on the shores of Western Michigan in Muskegon County. It is made up of the quaint towns of Montague and Whitehall - truly a unique and beautiful place, rich with history and bursting with small town charm.

Meet the Festival String Quartet!

At the heart of the 2026 White Lake Chamber Music Festival is our resident Festival String Quartet—a distinguished ensemble of internationally acclaimed artists whose artistry anchors ten days of exceptional performances.

Featuring:

✨ Violinists: Eleanor Bartsch and Sang Mee Lee
✨ Violist: Arturo Ziraldo
✨ Cellist: Marina Hoover

From concert halls across the United States, Europe, and Asia, these musicians bring remarkable experience as soloists, chamber musicians, educators, and orchestral leaders.

Highlights include:
• Eleanor Bartsch, first violinist of the Kontras Quartet and member of the Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra
• Sang Mee Lee, internationally award-winning violinist and faculty chair at the Music Institute of Chicago
• Arturo Ziraldo, acclaimed violist and passionate chamber collaborator
• Marina Hoover, Artistic Director of White Lake Chamber Music Society and founding cellist of the internationally celebrated St. Lawrence String Quartet

Together, these artists create performances that are powerful, personal, and deeply engaging—bringing audiences closer to the music and each other.
