What does the Montague County Child Welfare Board actually do?
đź’ˇ Sometimes, it's paying an electric bill so the lights stay on.
🛏 Sometimes, it's providing a bed so a child doesn't have to sleep on the floor.
🧰 Sometimes, it's a gas card that helps a parent get to a required appointment, a car repair that keeps someone employed, or a few outfits for a child entering foster care with only the clothes they're wearing.
Every year, the Board helps children and families across Montague County by filling gaps during difficult times. We support counseling services in all seven school districts, assist kinship families caring for relatives' children, provide essentials like food, clothing, car seats, and school supplies, and help make Christmas special for dozens of local children. ✨
Many families don't need a handout. They simply need a hand up.
Our goal is simple: support children, strengthen families, and help prevent crises from becoming tragedies.
Because sometimes a little help at the right time changes everything. ❤️
