Chief Wright will be at the Monrovia Government Center from 8:00am to 10:00am on Saturday, September 5th. Citizens who need their golf carts and/or other recreational vehicle permits renewed, or first time applicants who need to have their vehicle inspected, can come by at this time. Please bring your vehicle with you if you are a first time applicant, it must be inspected to receive the permit.

Permits cost $15.00 each, cash or check only. You must have a valid drivers license with you in order to pass inspection. Paperwork will be provided on-site.

REMINDER: Please make sure your golf cart/recreational vehicle permits are renewed and up to date through the town before the Monrovia Festival. Vehicles without 2026 permit stickers are liable to receive tickets/fines.

Town Council President, Tammy Everett, has proclaimed today to be a day of celebration for Martha Lou Youngblood's 101st birthday! Living in Monrovia with her husband Henry since 1963, the Youngblood family has contributed greatly to our community. Martha Lou was a registered nurse, active band parent, and part of the PTA when her children Mark, Janet (Stultz), and Carol were in school. Her daughter, Carol Youngblood, has served on the Monrovia Town Council since 2016, most recently as Vice President.

We wish Martha Lou a very happy birthday!

Keep an eye out for new street signs around town sporting the Monrovia Bulldogs logo! You may see Monrovia High School athletes replacing street signs all over town over the next few days. We are so excited to be able to partner with our local sports teams, and so thankful for all their hard work! Please exercise extra caution when/if driving past students replacing signs.

MIG Dumpsters will be temporarily placing a free-to-use dumpster at Nancy's Hardware Store on Saturday, August 8th from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Citizens are free to dump non-hazardous materials during this time.

The local tornado sirens will be tested this coming Monday, June 29th, at noon. Please note that tornado sirens are meant to be heard when outside, so you may not hear them if you are inside of a building.
