The Quint (or Quintuple combination pumper) was originally manufactured in Germany in 1912 and made its way to the United States in the 1930s. This type of fire apparatus combines the functions of a fire engine and a fire truck into one vehicle that can perform multiple functions. Ensuring we are always prepared to serve our community and proving 'quintessential' for the volunteer fire service. It is called a "Quint" because it has 5 main features: aerial ladder, ground ladders, fire hose, fire pump, and carries water.
Specially, Quint 1 contains:
1. 77' Steel Aerial Ladder
2. A total of 154' of ground ladders (2x 35', 1x 28', 2× 16', 1x 14', 1x 10')
3. 800' of 5" hose, 600' of 3" hose, 425' of 2.5" hose, 200' of 2" hose, 300' of 1 3/4" hose, 100' of 1 1/2" hose
4. Hale Q-max 2000 gallon per minute pump
5. 508 gallon water tank
